Medical Data System (MDS) provides the individual practitioner or group practice with today's most efficient system for patient tracking, billing and management of accounts receivable, and practice analysis. Our design criteria is speed, simplicity, expandability and affordability. MDS is a mature, highly-tuned
system that provides any major selection criteria (e.g. patient
name, account number, procedure code, diagnosis code, etc.) for
record selection. MDS is simple to use. Since it is menu driven, even a new user can find his/her way around the system in a short time. Extreme proficiency is normally accomplished within a couple of weeks. Each menu contains prompts at the bottom of the screen so that the user is never lost; and if there is a question regarding a specific field on the screen, the user can press the HELP key for an immediate explanation. Even though MDS is menu driven, we have spent a considerable amount of time minimizing movement back and forth among screens. All patient additions, modifications, deletions and invoice processing use only two screens. MDS allows the user to customize the system for his/her own environment. A default subsystem permits the user to specify the most common city, state and zip codes to use when adding a patient. It also allows defaults for whether or not "assignment" is usually accepted, co-payment, dunning messages, and so forth. There is no practical limit to the number of physicians, patients, procedures or diagnoses, except for the practical limitation of your disk drives. Although MDS is extremely rich in features, it is priced affordably for either the single practitioner or clinic. A single user system (1 non network PC with up to 6 physicians) is only $3,295. A multi user system (multiple PCS or a server version) for up to 25 physicians is $4,795. Annual maintenance for a single user system, if requested, is $350 and for a base multi user system is $750. With the annual support agreement, we provide telephone support for training and technical questions and provide all system upgrades at no additional charge. Twenty-four hour access to our Web Site is available to all of our users. Although we recommend a Pentium processor with 16MB RAM to run MDS, the single user system runs on a 386 with 8MB RAM. |
