SecurApp

SecurApp is a pre-built security system, designed for single or multi-user Clipper DOS applications. This product provides a sign-on screen requesting a User ID and Password, and for an administrator—an administrator password. To use the SecurApp system, just add the security object to your link script and then relink. In addition to the security features, SecurApp also contains a "context sensitive" help system called EzHelp, an on-line calendar, an on-line calculator and a screen saver.

SecurApp contains up to 99 levels of security, so that the administrator can determine which users are allowed to see what screens, reports, and/or fields. We accomplish this by
having the security module pass the sign-on User ID, Password and security level to the application. The application then determines what the user can see, based on the user's security level.

There is also a security subsystem allowing the administrator to add, modify or delete users from the system, as well as view or print the user list.

All of the security information is stored in an encrypted "DBF" file, so that no one can access the information unless they go through the security module. This encryption is DES
compliant.
