Crystal Tips and Tricks

Seagate's Crystal report Writer is an incredible product that gives you access to virtually any database on the market today. It is also extremely fast and powerful. The current release of Crystal Report Writer is Version 8.5. 

• 1/8/2002 - For those users who have purchased version 8.5 you'll notice that you can now schedule your reports to run on a specific date and time.
  
• You can no longer compile reports in Version 8 unless you download an add-on product from the Seagate web site.  In future versions it may no longer be supported.
  
• One of the really great enhancements in Version 8 is the ability to do looping.  Seagate has improved the formula editor by including Visual Basic commands such as "Do While" and "For Next" looping constructs.  This capability moves Crystal into a whole new "power range".  You can find these, and other looping commands, in the control structures under the Operator heading of the formula editor.
